The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Interaction Design professional who connects the dots between business needs, innovation and good design. Your obsession with human-centered design principles, paired with your passion for product and service design, make you the ultimate UX evangelist on your project teams where you’ll collaborate with Art Directors, Content Developers, Strategists and Developers to create brand experiences that connect with their audience. You understand how to promote and use research, quantitative and qualitative, to guide design decisions. You are skilled at driving a user experience from start-to-finish that delivers results, connects emotionally, and makes customers smile again and again.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as UX designer on assigned projects, collaborating within other creative teammates to form a multi-disciplinary team. Projects begin with discovery and research requiring both conceptual and detailed design thinking. Work may include defining user goals, scenarios, benefits, and flows as well as conceptual designs and prototypes.
- Develop and document detailed user experience specifications for highly interactive interfaces. The ability to extract business and technical requirements and translate them into interactive experiences.
- Communicate, specify and describe your designs to researchers, developers, testers, project managers, senior leadership and other designers without ambiguity and within deadlines.
- Bring a user-centric design approach and attention to detail to all work you produce, including the ability to prepare, conduct and analyze usability testing.
Education and Years of Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a key, hands-on interaction/visual designer of a UI/UX team through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile and/or software applications.
- Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts or a related field is desired.
- Experience creatively solving hard problems; delivering innovative and complex product and service solutions within deadlines.
- Proven experience driving complex design issues across multi-disciplinary groups such as Development, Test, Program Management, other designers and research.
- Proficient with a range of interaction design, visualization, and rapid design prototyping tools.
- Proven ability to innovate for new markets.
- Collaborative team player who excels in a team environment
- Strong skills in visual and motion design preferred.
